Fluid Identity

Comparable to a universe, imaginary spaces open up, in which the same forces are at work as in a cosmic garden. They melt away, only to reappear in a new, luminous color. As a viewer, you stand in front of the work and have the feeling that the colors are not standing still. They seem to expand, recede, react to each other. The gaze finds no fixed resting point—it wanders, follows lines and fields of color, as if the picture were breathing. Contrasts seem like heartbeats, quieter zones like short pauses for breath.
